• Materials with water-repellent properties are called hydrophobic in construction – they are provided by polymer additives introduced into the composition of the mixtures. As for waterproofing plasters, you can"t get far with additives alone, and their quality is not at all determined by price.
• Waterproof solutions can be made on site, which is what professional plasterers most often do. For this, fatty cement mortars are used, mixed in a ratio of one part sand to two parts pozzolanic cement, after which chemical additives are added to them.
• Additives can be different, and each has its own purpose. There are foaming agents that affect the water-cement ratio, and thereby increase the water resistance of the mixture. Additives such as bitumen-based emulsions, stone or sand flour, ceresit, compact the solution. Soap naphtha, rosin soap, wood pitch – make it plastic.

The most dependable coating is achieved with a screed thickness of 2.5 cm or more, as demonstrated by extensive experience. Water has a tearing effect that must be considered when plastering, so properly preparing the surface of the pool walls is crucial before applying plaster. After all, the plaster’s water resistance will increase with the consistency of the adhesion between its surfaces and the pool bowl.

To guarantee long-lasting results, it’s critical to take durability, water resistance, and finish quality into account when selecting pool plaster. Choose a plaster that will not only provide a beautiful, smooth surface but also be able to endure repeated exposure to chemicals and water.
