Cement-based plasters

Up until recently, the primary products associated with this brand in our nation were gypsum-related items like plasterboard, dry mixes, and accessories. These days, a variety of Knauf cement plaster types are also well-known.

Unterputz

This is a mixture of dry cement, fractionated sand, and specific additives that improve the material’s plasticity and coating’s capacity to repel water. It can be used to prepare a solution that can be applied manually or automatically.

  • For outdoor use – plastering facades (see. Plastering external walls: traditional facade finishing), creating bases for decorative coatings;
  • For interior work – plastering walls in rooms with high air humidity (industrial premises, basements, laundries, etc.).d.).

Plaster can be applied in layers ranging from 10 to 20 mm, with a maximum multilayer coating thickness of 35 mm. The amount of dry mixture used per square meter with a 10 mm layer thickness is 17 kg.

The material’s benefits go beyond its resistance to water and its strength and ductility; these also include its ability to be applied in thin layers and its lack of shrinkage or cracking upon drying.

Characteristics Magnitude
Water holding capacity >98%
Grain Up to 1.5 mm
Viability of solution 1.5-2 hours
Frost resistance >25 cycles
Adhesion strength >0.4 MPa
Vapor permeability coefficient >0.1 mg/(m*hour*Pa)
Compressive strength >2.5 MPa

The 25 kg paper bags of Knauf cement plaster Unterputz are available. One year of shelf life.

Grünband

This plaster has several additives and lightweight filler in the form of polystyrene foam granules, which gives it thermal insulation qualities, in addition to cement and sand. The solution can be used mechanically or manually.

  • For external work – plastering facades, creating bases for decorative coatings (ceramic tiles, artificial stone, Diamant Knauf plaster, etc.d.);
  • For interior work – finishing ceilings and walls in wet rooms.

Kindly take note. Concrete, silicate and ceramic bricks, foam concrete, expanded clay concrete, and aerated concrete blocks can all serve as the basis for application.

Thickness of permissible layer: 10-30 mm. With a layer thickness of 10 mm, the amount of dry mix required per square meter is 12 kg.

The material’s benefits include its excellent vapor permeability, thermal insulation qualities, lack of cracks, ease of application, and capacity to shield walls from outside influences.

Characteristics Size
Water absorption
Granularity Up to 1.5 mm
Thermal conductivity < 0.35 W/m °C
Frost resistance >35 cycles
Density 3
Vapor permeability coefficient >0.1 mg/(m*hour*Pa)

Adhesive strength >0.4 MPa

25 kg paper bags are the Knauf Grunband plaster release form. One year of shelf life.

Sockelputz

A particularly robust cement mixture for both manual and automated application that includes fractionated sand and unique additives.

  • For external works – plastering of facades and basements, including for subsequent decorative finishing;
  • For interior work – plastering walls in rooms with high humidity (industrial premises, basements, laundries, etc.).d.).

Plaster can be applied in layers ranging from 10 to 15 mm thick, with a maximum multi-layer coating thickness of 35 mm. With a layer thickness of 10 mm, the dry mix consumption per square meter is 17 kg.

Characteristics Size
Water-holding capacity >98%
Grain size Up to 1.5 mm
Solution viability 1.5-2 hours
Frost resistance >25 cycles
Adhesive strength >0.4 MPa
Vapor permeability coefficient >0.1 mg / (m * hour * Pa)
Compressive strength >7.5 MPa

Paper bags weighing 25 kg are used to produce Zockelputz cement plaster. It has a one-year shelf life.

Sevener

For manual application, use a dry plaster-adhesive mixture containing fractionated sand, polymer additives, and special fibers.

  • Repair of old plaster on building facades;
  • Gluing to the base of thermal insulation polystyrene foam or mineral wool slabs, as well as applying over the insulation to create a protective layer with a reinforcing fiberglass mesh;
  • Installation of an intermediate adhesive layer on surfaces made of porous or smooth concrete.

The amount of mixture used per square meter is determined by how the solution is applied:

  • For gluing insulation boards to masonry – 6 kg;
  • For gluing insulation boards to a flat surface – 3.5 kg;
  • For installing a protective layer on thermal insulation – 7 kg;
  • For repairing old plaster with application of mortar on a grid – 5-10 kg.

Because Knauf Sevener plasters are made with unique fibers, adhesive, and water-repellent additives, they stick to the base firmly, shield masonry or insulation from moisture, and give the finished coating more strength and crack resistance.

Characteristics Size
Water absorption
Grain size Up to 1.5 mm
Frost resistance >75 cycles
Density 1600 kg/m3
Vapor permeability coefficient >0.1 mg/(m*hour*Pa)
Compressive strength >7.5 MPa

Paper bags weighing 25 kg are sold with cement plaster Sevener. It has a one-year shelf life.

Adhesive

Cement plaster that has been enhanced chemically and filled with quartz and limestone to improve the material’s adhesive qualities. either by hand or by machine.

Application: for misting old brick bases, sand-lime, concrete, and debris before plastering them with leveling cement.

Kindly take note. Adhesive strengthens the bases and increases material adhesion while producing a rough surface. The instructions suggest processing bases made of smooth concrete and sand-lime brick with this plaster rather than a metal reinforcing mesh.

A 5 mm layer thickness is advised. 5-8 kg of dry mix are consumed per square meter.

Characteristics Value
Water absorption
Graininess 0-4 mm
Frost resistance >25 cycles
Density 1600 kg/m3
Vapor permeability coefficient >0.1 mg/(m*hour*Pa)
Compressive strength >7.5 MPa

Diamant

For the purpose of adding decorative finishing to concrete, gypsum, and cement bases, Knauf Diamant decorative plaster is a cement mixture containing mineral granules. creates a surface that is textured and has a structure of grooves or grains. applied either mechanically or manually.

There are multiple colors of the material available:

Knauf is a top choice for professionals who expect the best in wall decoration because it provides a dependable solution that guarantees seamless, long-lasting results whether you’re working on walls or ceilings.

Gypsum based plasters

Gypsum plasters, in contrast to cement plasters, are meant to be used exclusively in interior heated rooms because they are not resistant to the harsh effects of atmospheric phenomena.

As a point of reference. Gypsum mixtures can be white, gray, or brown in color. This is explained by the makeup of impurities in natural gypsum stone and has no bearing on their characteristics.

Rotband

Polymer additives provide universal gypsum plaster with enhanced adhesion. In rooms with normal to high humidity, it is used for high-quality leveling of walls and ceilings, as well as surfaces made of concrete, brick, cement plaster, and polystyrene foam.

  • Knauf Rotband is a finishing plaster that does not require puttying, because.. the surface is smooth;
  • Less consumption compared to cement compositions;
  • The ability to apply a layer from 5 mm to 50 mm thick in one go and thicker layers – in several passes;

Kindly take note! The maximum layer thickness for leveling ceilings is 15 mm.

  • Absence of cracks when drying at any layer thickness;
  • Can be used for repair, restoration work and production of decorative coatings;
  • Vapor permeability – the gypsum coating “breathes”, regulating the humidity regime in the room;
  • Environmentally friendly – contains only substances that are harmless to health.

The amount of dry mixture used per square meter with a 10 mm layer thickness is 8.5 kg.
